Salvation Army to "ring the bell" in Perham for holidays
The Perham Events Committee, a group of businesses which sponsor several yearly events in Perham, is bringing the Salvation Army to Perham.
Terrie Anderson, chairperson of the Christmas in Candyland event, and Dale Wright, retired jeweler, announced that one red Salvation Army kettle will be set up in Perham to accept monetary donations through December 24.
All money donated will be used by the Salvation Army to help needy people in Otter Tail County.
"The familiar red donation kettle of the Salvation Army will be seen throughout Perham during December as long as we have volunteers to ring the bell," says Anderson.
Any group or individual who would like to donate an hour of their time to "ring for the less fortunate" is asked to contact Terrie Anderson at Ghost Runner, 218-346-2650.
