Santa Anonymous 'elves' need continued community support
Experience the real joy of giving - adopt a family this Christmas, through Santa Anonymous.
Adopted families each receive a holiday food basket, as well as gifts for the children.
Those who adopt a family choose and purchase gifts for each child in the family. New toys, clothing, toiletries, books and games are needed for children and teenagers of all ages.
Now is the time to buy those Christmas gifts; they may be dropped off at one of the many boxes located at Cenex C-store, Credit Union, Dean's Country Market, Seip Drug, Hardware Hank, Mills Lanes, NY Mills Public Library, F and M Bank and the NY Mills Post Office.
These boxes will be picked up by volunteers on Friday, Dec. 14.
Gifts should be left unwrapped, as volunteers will be wrapping on Monday, Dec. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon and again from 3:30-6 p.m. at the county office building.
Anyone wishing to help wrap may call 218-640-3254 for more details. Also call this number for more information and to adopt a family.
Cash donations may be sent to Kay Togas at 111 N. Broadway in New York Mills or deposited directly into the Santa Anonymous account at F and M bank. This money is used to buy needed clothing and also provides food baskets for adopted families.
Santa Anonymous gifts will be delivered on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
