Sauk Rapids man shot in hunting accident

On Saturday, Nov. 9 at 5:06 p.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s office received a report of a firearm related hunting accident approximately four miles north of Long Prairie.

The Long Prairie Ambulance and Long Prairie Fire Department were also called to the scene.

The victim was identified as Mike Dreher of Sauk Rapids. Dreher suffered a single gunshot wound to the right chest. He was transported to the Long Prairie Hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.  Dreher was later flown to North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis.  

The incident is under investigation by the Sheriff’s office.
