‘Seatbelt Saturation’ could mean additional tickets
Perham Minnesota 222 2nd Avenue SE 56573

The Perham Police Department is undergoing a ‘Seatbelt Saturation’ campaign this week, according to Police Chief Jason Hoaby.

Extra Click It or Ticket seat belt patrols took to the roads statewide May 20, and will remain in place through June 2, according to a press release from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.

As part of a grant from the state’s Driving Minnesota Towards Zero Deaths campaign, Perham’s police will be scrutinizing drivers’ seat belt use and issuing tickets when they aren’t being used properly.

In a crash, odds of injury are six times greater if a motorist is not buckled up, the department of public safety reports.
