Sign up now to take part in Turtle Fest parade

Be a part of Perham’s biggest festival of the summer – sign up to march in the Turtle Fest parade.

Consistently featuring 80-100 floats and big trucks, costumed characters, marching bands and plenty of other fun-loving participants from year to year, the parade is a fun and memorable experience – both for the spectators and all those who take part.

This year’s parade will feature three area high school marching bands, appearances by Victor the Viking, Clifford the Big Red Dog and Super Hero Word Girl, and a chance for spectators to win prizes through a cell phone contest.

“It’ll be bigger and better than ever,” said Tyler Krumweide, the leading organizer of the parade.

The parade route will be the same as last year, starting at Perham High School and making its way past St. Henry’s Area School before heading toward 8th Avenue SW via 3rd Street SW.

It will be held the final Friday of Turtle Fest, on June 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Lineup will start at 5 p.m. at the intersection of 1st Avenue S and 5th Street SW.

Registrations are being taken now. Visit or call Krumweide at 218-371-5008 for more information and registration forms.
