Softball: Eagles third at Fosston tourney; swept by Sebeka

FOSSTON -- The New York Mills softball team (No. 9-1A) played five games in two days Wednesday and Thursday, taking third place, with two victories out of three games, at a tournament in Fosston.

The Eagles drew Class 3A Grand Rapids (6-5) to open play at noon. The Thunderhawks scored four in the third and two in the sixth to down the Eagles 6-2.

EmaLeigh Roberts and Jenna Esala scored for New York Mills. Roberts led NY Mills going 2-4 at the plate.
