Perham was host to 70 basketball teams ranging in ages second through ninth grade during the annual Spring Fling tournament held in gymnasiums all over town last Saturday and Sunday.

The Perham fourth graders won their bracket taking the final 28-27 over Waubun. 

The Perham third grade team lost in overtime in the consolation game to Breckenridge 32-20. 

The fifth grade Yellowjackets defeated Battle Lake 33-25 to take the consolation championship.

Browerville defeated the eighth grade Yellowjackets 47-27 for third place.

Some Perham seventh graders were on double duty Sunday as the team qualified for the state Pacesetter tournament in June by winning the qualifying tournament in Frazee. 

Other Perham teams qualifying for MIT tournaments in June were the sixth, eighth and ninth grade teams. More scores will be added to this story.
