State indoor archery tournament in DL April 4-6
DETROIT LAKES — The Minnesota state target archery indoor tournament will be held in Detroit Lakes the weekend of April 4 at Kent Freeman Arena.
As many as a thousand competitive archers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas and Canada will participate in three days of competition.
A practice round will be held Friday, April 4. Competitive sessions will be held Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The Minnesota state target archery indoor tournament has become one of the largest ot its kind in the nation with record numbers shooting each year.
Youth shooting has become a large part of the state’s numbers as a result of programs such as 4-H shooting sports, archery in schools and community education.
