Haley Frost, a 2007 graduate of Perham High School and recent graduate of Minnesota State University-Moorhead, has won a 2014 American Inhouse Design Award by Graphic Design USA. The award was given to Frost for a book cover she designed for “Rare Earth,” a book published by New Rivers Press at MSUM. Frost was one of three students to win the award this year. The award is the original and the biggest showcase for outstanding work by Inhouse designers. Frost obtained an associate of arts degree from Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Fergus Falls in 2010. She graduated from MSUM in 2013, with a bachelor of fine arts degree in photography and design.
Lacey Guck, New York Mills, received a $2,000 L.B. Hartz Scholarship from the Minnesota State University Moorhead School of Business. Guck is the child of Jerry and Jeannie Guck. The L.B. Hartz Scholarship is awarded to MSUM students enrolled in at least 12 credits per semester, or nine credits per semester for graduate students.

The following students have been named to the 2014 spring semester dean’s list at St. Cloud State University: Stephanie Hendrickx, New York Mills, School of Health and Human Services, nursing. Kendal Salo, School of Public Affairs, social studies education. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.
