Connie Vandermay, New York Mills, has been named to the dean's list at the University of Minnesota-Crookston for spring semester 2012. To qualify for a place on the list, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 or higher grade point average. Vandermay is majoring in communication.

Students must maintain a 3.25 or higher grade point average and carry 12 graded credits to qualify for the honor. Nathaniel Beaver, Perham, was among the 543 students to graduate with a bachelor of arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College during the school's 2012 commencement ceremony on May 27. Beaver graduated magna cum laude (cumulative grade point average of 3.7-3.899). Gustavus Adolphus is located in St. Peter, Minn.

Samantha Welter, New York Mills, and Leah Richter, Perham, were named to the University of North Dakota dean's list for spring semester 2012. To make the list, students must have completed no fewer than 12 semester hours of academic work, and their grade point averages must be in the top 15 percent of the enrollment in their degree granting college or school.

Danny Johnson, Perham, has been named to the president's list for the 2012 spring semester at Minnesota State Community and Technical College. To earn this honor, a student must complete 12 or more credits for the semester, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
