FERGUS FALLS — Jayden Cullen continued his winning ways taking the 500-freestyle and Todd Brown, Jr. added a win in the butterfly as Perham fell to Fergus Falls 96-64 in swimming and diving competition Tuesday.
“Boys are still dropping time and the future looks bright,” Head Coach Trent Swanson said.
Ben Sullivan and Patrick Murphy swam section qualifying times in the 100 and 50-freestyle, respectively.
Cullen (5:15.17) has proven he can win at any distance this season and won the longest race of the night by less than two seconds over Otter Cal Mouritsen 5:16.91.
Brown, Jr. swam 1:05.39 to win the 100-fly over Fergus Falls’ Luke Raitz (1:06.74).
Sullivan’s qualifier was a fourth-place finish in the 100-freestyle in 56.66. Murphy was third 55.74. Joe Kitzman and Mike Mortenson, both of Fergus Falls, took the top two positions with times of 51.13 and 55.66.
Murphy made sections with a runner-up finish in the 50-freestyle swimming 25.39, bested only by Kitzman, who swept the sprints with a 50-time of 23.86.
