Table fair fundraiser will benefit library
Dinner, music and a chance to connect with friends from around the community await at the Perham library’s 11th Annual Table Setting Fair.
The fair, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, will be held Feb. 15 at Wild Oaks restaurant (located at Perham Lakeside Golf Club).
Proceeds from the fair will be used to fund programs and equipment for the Perham Area Public Library.
“These funds are needed to enable the library to provide great and up-to-date materials and programs for our communities,” said Kay Peloquin, the co-president of Friends of the Library in an email to the Focus. “The Perham Area Public Library is a wonderful asset to our area.”
According to the Friends, more than 90 percent of the library’s sponsored programs, activities and assistance comes from this one annual fundraiser.
Garden upkeep, a new copier, travel guides and author visits have also been sponsored by the Friends.
A social hour and preview of the tables will begin at 5 p.m., with the meal following.
Tables will be decorated with a wide variety of themes, from Singapore to the Fighting Sioux.
Dinner will include basil chicken, pork loin, garlic baby potatoes, mixed vegetables, a salad and dessert, said Peloquin.
Live and silent auctions will include artistic pieces from local artists as well as a trip to the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Twins baseball tickets, and a fly fishing trip for two.
Later, at about 8 p.m., Doc and the Scrubs will take the stage and perform for a dance.
Tickets are $50 and are on sale at the library. Call 346-4892 for more information.
