Teams are being sought for a new Turtle Fest Corn Hole Tournament, sponsored by the History and Cultural Association of East Otter Tail County.
Two-person teams – and up to two alternates – can sign up to play in the tournament, which will be held Saturday, June 14 beginning at 10 a.m. in the city park outside the History Museum of East Otter Tail County, in Perham. Check-in starts at 9 a.m. on tournament day, at the museum.
A kids’ bean bag set will also be available for family fun while the adjacent tournament is underway. There is no fee or registration needed for kids to play.
The top three tournament teams will be eligible for a cash payout, with the first place team walking away with a custom-built, regulation-size corn hole set, designed by the History and Cultural Association’s mural painting class.
Players are asked to pre-register, which helps organizers plan the elimination schedule of the tournament. Registration costs $10 per team. Registration forms are online at facebook.com/historymuseumeot or at the history museum.
On-site registration on the day of the tournament will be accepted as long as there is still room. Though not a regulation event, the tournament will be run as close as possible to regulation play.
