Rural Perham murder: Pipe wrench reportedly used in brutal killing of mother, son




Terry Franklin Knight, 61, of Frazee, passed away June 24, 2014 comfortably at home under the care of Red River Valley Hospice after a short battle with cancer. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 beginning at 10 a.m. followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m. all at Schoeneberger Funeral Home in Perham.

Terry was born on April 5, 1953 in Fergus Falls, Minn. He was a graduate of Perham High School. Terry dedicated 30 years of his life working for KLN Enterprises. In his free time, Terry loved everything outdoors, from being a former fishing guide to spending weekends in the rivers of Wyoming fly fishing. He lived for the time of year when the targets came out around deer opener, when weekends would be spent exchanging stories with his lifelong friend, Ed. He and Judy took many trips out to Yellowstone National Park and spent every weekend possible camping around the area. Terry was an extremely easy-going, kind-hearted man. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Terry is survived by his father, John Knight; two brothers; four sisters; his life partner, Judy Wegner; his daughter, Lora (Chad) Zerr; his other children, Sheena (Daniel) Stenger, Donell (Cory) Ard, Kyler (Lindsay) Wegner, Kami (Rick Benke) Wegner, Angela Bergeron; and five grandchildren.

Preceding Terry in death is his mother, Marge Knight.
