Think spring at Cultural Center
Garden lovers, pull on your gloves and start thinking green. The Cultural Center has free sustainable gardening classes and artist receptions coming soon.
Kathy Connell from Redfern Gardens will give the first of four gardening classes at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Cultural Center in New York Mills. Class topics include saving seeds, growing berries, growing transplants and raised bed gardening.
Sustainable farmers are the subject of photographs on exhibit in the ground floor gallery. The photographer, Laurie Schneider, will be at the Center from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 to talk about her work documenting sustainable farming.
There is no charge for these events and everyone is welcome. More information can be found at kulcher.org.
