Think spring with Rotary fling
There are still a couple days to buy tickets for the "Spring Fling"--Lakes Area Rotary Club's annual dinner, auction and dance event.
With some of the most unique and varied auction items and raffle prizes, the 2008 party could be the most entertaining ever. Plus--the Rotary Club has booked the popular "Bob and the Beachcombers" band for the 9 p.m. dance.
Social hour starts at 5 p.m.; dinner at 6 p.m.; and auction-raffle action following. The event will be hosted at Mulligan's.
The auctions items are too numerous to list, but here are a few of the many unique items:
Ain't No Ordinary "Buggy" Ride-- When you take a private ride for 6 in the latest STV-(Sport Terrain Vehicle) called the Revolt, you'll understand why they say it "embodies an exciting driving experience in a powerful performance package." A tour of the Redline plant and a light meal are also included. Courtesy of: Redline and Farmer's State Bank.
The Real Thing-- No, it's not an auction for Coca Cola, you've really got to see these things. These are the most unbelievable, handmade Mexican Pinatas that you've ever seen and they were made right here in Perham. So amazing you can't help but admire them, but far too inviting for the kids to want to bust into them. They will be auctioned separately. Courtesy of: Kay Peloquin.
The new "Great Outdoor Adventure"-- Join these local boys for an ATV 4 wheeler ride for 6 at Wolf Lake Hills...and that's not all...dinner, refreshments and a campfire add a whole new dimension to this great local outdoor adventure. (ATV's provided). Courtesy of: Cal Dockter, Greg Keil, Mike Parta and Dean Simpson.
Birds of a Feather, Flock Together-- In this item, that is exactly the deal. Not 99, but 100 pheasants to be released at the location of your choice. What more could you ask for? Courtesy of: Craig Swanson.
Fish the Angle for 5-- Clear the calendar for September 26-28 so you can head to Lake of the Woods to the Northwest Angle for a fisherman's delight. Stay at Nietzke's cabin, find all the best fishing holes with guide Dan Boedigheimer, and of course, meals and beverages included. Tickle the Ivories-- Learn how to play piano from the best pianist in the area. Six private lessons with the master, just for you. Courtesy of: Russ Bunker.
In addition to these auction items, there are 21 raffle items, ranging from a health and wellness package for your pet to Fargo Redhawk baseball tickets.
