Three burglaries reported yesterday in Otter Tail County; Perham area resident awakens to find intruder in the house
The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Department responded to three reports of burglaries yesterday.
A resident near Perham, on Aerovilla Road, was awakened shortly after midnight on Thursday, Nov. 1 after hearing the dog bark. The resident heard a door shut, turned on the lights, and confronted a suspect.
The intruder left the house and fled in a vehicle at a high rate of speed. No items were missing from the house and the resident was unharmed.
Another burglary Nov. 1, this one on Pleasant Avenue in Clitherall, resulted in the theft of a metal-gold eagle statue and a pendant-type piece of jewelry valued at $250 to $300. The call came in to the sheriff's department at 10:19 a.m.
A burglary on 527th Avenue in southeastern Otter Tail County resulted in the theft of a Nintendo 64 and $100 in coins - a total value of $500. That call came in from a nearby residence at 12:03 p.m., also on Nov. 1.
Investigations are ongoing.
