Thru Him Photography celebrates one year partnership, new location

Thru Him Photography has moved from downtown Perham to the south side of town on Highway 78, right next to Marlo Motors.

The new "more homey" location offers improved natural light, owners Kim Jordahl and Kristen McMartin said in an interview last week. With big windows in the studio and plenty of new backgrounds and props to choose from, the duo's new location has increased their photography potential.

The new location also makes it easier for the business to host community events like chamber mixers and senior block parties, Jordahl and McMartin said.

Jordahl's 15 years of photography experience, added to McMartin's seven years, helped them form a partnership showcasing their individual talents - graphic designing for McMartin and photography for Jordahl.

McMartin ran the business on her own until last year, when she partnered with Jordahl.

Since then, one thing they've striven to do is capture events important to the community, and then post their photos on Facebook to share.

Thru Him Photography got its name from Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength."
