Tracy-Milroy-Balaton shuts out New York Mills in opening round of state 1A baseball playoffs

The New York Mills Eagles put up 18 victories this season primarily because of consistent defense and solid pitching. In the first round of Minnesota 1A playoffs, the Eagles found themselves on the opposing side to such success in an 8-0 shutout loss to the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers at the Mini-Met in Jordan, Minn.

The loss drops the Eagles overall record to 18-5, sends them to the consolation bracket and dashes any hopes at the championship game at Target Field.
