After falling through, Kellen and Stevens were able to get out of the water and make it to shore, but did not know where they were when they called 911, the report states. They were located on Grove Lake Road, cold but otherwise uninjured.

According to the report, the two were checked by Pelican Ambulance emergency personnel, but denied any further medical treatment.
