The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Department received a call about the animals Sunday morning. As many as 10 horses at the site need rescuing, though that number is still unconfirmed, according to the sheriff's department. Those animals are reportedly still alive, but neglected.

The sheriff's department is working on the case with the Minnesota Humane Society. This is the second animal neglect case in the area in a matter of months that involves multiple horses.

No names have been released yet in this case, and no charges have been filed.
