Two hurt in crash near Perham
A Dent woman was injured and extricated from her vehicle, and another woman hurt, in an accident near Perham Friday.
Colleen Adella Kroenke, 53, of Dent, and Tina May Kawlewski, age 29, of Moorhead, were both taken by ambulance to Perham Health, where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred along Highway 34, near the intersection of 410th Avenue, west of Perham, at about 12:20 p.m.
While attempting to pass a Lincoln Continental driven by 30-year-old Craig Michael Troje, of Moorhead, Kroenke sideswiped the car with her SUV, the sheriff’s office said. Troje was making a left-hand turn to go north on 410th Avenue. Kroenke overcorrected and her SUV rolled into the ditch.
Kawlewski was a passenger in the Lincoln. She reportedly experienced neck pain after the crash, while Kroenke had minor head and neck pain. Troje escaped injury.
The Perham Fire Department assisted at the scene.
