According to the report, a 36-year-old Audubon man was topping speeds of over 100 miles per hour as he approached an intersection of County Road 29 right in the city of Frazee when he lost control and went skidding through the intersection sideways.

He then reportedly struck several street signs before hitting a power pole and smashing into a garage.

The Audubon man, whose name is not being released pending the outcome of the investigation, was injured along with his passenger, a 46-year-old man from Detroit Lakes, who was the owner of the vehicle.

Authorities say at least one of the men was believed to have been released from the hospital, and charges in the case are possible.
