Vehicle lost to fire

A vehicle fire on Highway 33, north of Dalton, was extinguished by the Dalton Fire Department after an emergency call came in at 3:39 p.m.on Feb. 21.

The owner of the vehicle was plowing snow when a transmission cooler line failed, causing fluid to spray onto hot engine and exhaust parts. This ignited the engine compartment.

The vehicle was a total loss.
