Vergas man unhurt in one-car accident

A Vergas man escaped injury after his vehicle went off the road and landed in a slough.

Joshua David Moltzan, 31, was driving a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville too fast along Leek Lake Drive in Vergas when he lost control of the car around a curve, according to a press release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. The car ran off the road on the east side and overturned into a slough, becoming partially submerged.

Moltzan was uninjured, the release states, and there were no passengers in the car. He was issued a citation for driving after revocation.

The incident occurred June 10 at about 6 p.m.
