Vets Memorial set during 'Dent Daze' festivities July 11
The Dent Veterans Memorial dedication ceremony will be July 11, 11 a.m., in the park by the highway.
The ceremony will be hosted in conjunction with the Dent Daze celebration, which is all day that Saturday--with a parade at 2:30 p.m.
The memorial is dedicated to veterans of all past and future conflicts.
The Dent American Legion Post 148 led the campaign to bring a veterans memorial to Dent.
The program will feature several speakers, including Tom Conway, State Commander of the American Legion; as well as John Sampson, Legion 9th District Commander.

Preparing the brick work for the memorial is Everett Mastau, a member of the Dent Sons of the American Legion, who is a professional stone mason. Mastau and Mike Lang are donating their time to work on the project.
