'Victorian Courtship' program at Perham museum June 5
On Friday, June 5, the History Museum of East Otter Tail County will present a program on Victorian Courtship. Presenter Jaclyn Theis, who hails from Rochester, Minnesota, has been thoroughly immersed in the Victorian Era for years and can speak knowledgeably about customs from the Civil War through Victorian times.
From the way a lady held her fan to the language of flowers, there were many ways in which the men and women of that era communicated their wishes without actually coming out and saying them. Jaclyn dresses authentically to suit the era in costumes she has researched and made herself.
Please join her for a cup of tea and candid conversation about courtship in the Victorian Era.
The event is free and open to the public but reservations are requested.
To reserve a free ticket call 218-346-7676 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The History Museum is located at 230 First Avenue North, Perham.
