Perham's 11th annual holiday Parade of Lights was held Friday, Nov.25 . There was great weather that evening, and a record number of people attended, reports organizer Diana Osterfeld.

In all, 31 floats, plus trucks, motorcycles, horses, community members and more paraded through downtown, decked out in lights.

There was dancing, singing, waving and a lot of candy given out throughout the half-hour event.

Perham Family Dentistry won first prize ($300 in Perham Bucks) for its float, "Rock 'N' Roll Christ-mas." Dreams for Kids won second place ($200 in Perham Bucks), which it donated to the Perham Giving Tree. Wasche's Machine Shop won third place ($100 in Perham Bucks). Ottertail Home Cen-ter won Honorable Mention (a wreath from Cupkie Tree Farm).

Osterfeld said the planning committee plans to "do it again next year," and thanked all the participants, attendees, area businesses and the City of Perham.
