"(This) was a much-needed conference win," New York Mills Amy Koskela said.

NY Mills got off to a quick start easily winning the first two games before the Braves came back to take the third set needing extra points to do it, 27-25. The Eagles sealed the victory with a six-point, 25-19, fourth set victory.

"It was good that we were able to bounce back after losing in the third," Koskela said.

Ellie Rutten and Jackie Imsande played typical roles scoring at the net. Rutten had 14 kills to Imsande's 10.

Taylor Geiser added seven kills, Taylor Plautz had six.

Brooke Kupfer had a team-high 21 digs. Lexie Rankka had 13 digs and played prime mover with 30 assists.

Three Eagles had two aces: Tori Kempenich, Rankka and Brooklyn Frost.

Rutten had six blocks. Imsande and Plautz knocked back three each.

"After everyone's contributions to tonight's win, it's time to get ready for playoffs."

Jenny Skoog had 12 kills for Menahga.
