An overtime goal with time ticking away by Wadena-Deer Creek's Dylan Phillips sunk Detroit Lakes in boys' hockey action Thursday night.

The Mid-State Conference win for the Wolverines came despite being outshot 38-22 and 7-2 in the overtime period.

The loss spoils the Lakers' undefeated conference record, as they fall to 4-1-1 and second place in the conference, behind Park Rapids' 6-1-0 mark.
