Wadena man faces interference charge
A 20-year-old man from Wadena is accused of hanging up a woman's phone as she called 911 for police assistance.
Ray Juan Antonio Polan was charged Aug. 3 for an Aug. 1 domestic incident in which he is accused of stopping a 911 call in progress and causing a woman injuries after throwing things around his home, court records said. Polan is accused of the violent outburst as a result of the woman bringing over two children prior to their scheduled time, which he said was an attempt to anger him.
The charges include a pair of gross misdemeanors: interference with a 911 call and domestic assault.
An omnibus hearing was set for Sept. 19.
