Wadena man sentenced for marijuana
Tyler James McClure, 22, of 30387 Highway 10, Wadena has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime -- possession.
He was stopped by police officers in Detroit Lakes April 5 after a confidential reliable informant for the sheriff's department reported that McClure had a large quantity of marijuana in his 1995 Chevy Blazer.
He consented to a search of his vehicle, and officers found 184 grams of marijuana in a large baggie in the center console, according to court records.
He pleaded guilty Nov. 19 and was sentenced Friday by District Judge Mark Hansen, who issued a stay of adjudication for five years and placed him on supervised probation.
He must serve 45 days in jail, with credit for three days served. Work release privileges were granted. He was fined the $1,000 cost of prosecution and must submit to random drug testing.
