Wadena sex offender faces third charge of failing to register current address
A Wadena County man faces a third charge of failing to register as a predatory offender.
Darrell Wallace Dumpprope, 51, was charged Jan. 19 with the felony after a Wadena County investigator tried to find him at his listed address and the woman there said he had moved. Dumpprope told the investigator he was staying in Foxhome, Minn. and in Wadena "once in a while," but his primary residence was a camper in the woods. The investigator asked him if she looked at that camper, would she find it was plowed out and have footprints to indicate he was living there. He said no, according to court documents.
Dumpprope was convicted on Oct. 20, 2003, for failing to register as a sex offender in Sherburne County. He also pleaded guilty Sept. 14, 2010 in Wadena County to failing to register, and is awaiting sentencing which is set for March 11, court documents said.
His next appearance on the new charge was set for Feb. 1.
