What's new for the 2009 Perham Turtle Fest?
A whole lot.
New events and activities will make the 2009 edition of Turtle Fest the most lively ever.
Here are a few of the new events on the June 17-21 schedule:
Little Miss Turtle Fest pageant on Thursday evening-
For info call Kendall Ware at Northern Lakes Dance Studio. Registration at 6:30 p.m. for girls ages 5-7 years at the high school auditorium.
Erin Drew will be performing from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on the parade stage on Friday, June 19, just before the parade.
Fireworks are Friday night at 10:30 from the fairgrounds.
October Road plays at the fairgrounds Friday night after the parade, 8:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. (In case of rain it will be held at the Grand View Heights Ballroom at the Pioneer Village).
The new time for the Perham Lions Demo Derby this year is 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.
Turtle Fest Softball Tourney has been revived, with games Saturday and Sunday at the softball fields on the northwest side of town.
The Unbelievable Uglies and Sapphire are playing Saturday night, June 20, at the Pioneer Grounds. Get your advanced tickets from Ma's, the Chamber office, EB, or Jerome's Antiques.
Heavenly Hackers Golf Tourney is Sunday afternoon. For more info contact PLGC at 218-346-6070.
