Whispering Pines Resort under new management
Whispering Pines Resort on Big Pine Lake recently came under new management in July with Josh and Anita Mycke taking over day-to-day operations at the resort.
Josh and Anita moved to Perham in October 1995. During the last 15 years, both Josh and Anita have actively been involved in the Perham community through involvement at Perham Community Church, Kinship, Baby Bin and other various service groups.
Anita did in-home daycare and worked for The Pines Gifts and Collectibles from 1996 to 2009 while also serving on the Perham City Council from 2005 to 2010.
Josh was employed as an IT Support Technician for nearly eleven years at ACS. Both are the parents of five children: Caleb, age 11; Titus, age 9; Aaron, age 5; Lacy, age 3, and Olantha, age 1 ½.
Whispering Pines Resort is an eight-acre resort located on County Highway 8, four miles north of downtown Perham on the northwest shore of Big Pine Lake.
With over 300 feet of sandy beach, Whispering Pines offers visitors the opportunity to fish, swim, water ski, tubing, and knee boarding.
A pontoon is also available to rent per hour, per day, or even an entire week. The resort has eight newly remodeled cabins that sleep anywhere from two people to eight people that are rented from Saturday to Saturday at a weekly rate.
Whispering Pines also has a seasonal 15 spot RV park available with water, electrical hookups, and sewer. Four additional daily RV spots are available at the resort with water and electrical hookups. An RV dumping station is also available on site. Tenting sites are also offered on a daily basis.
