Wild Stallion celebrates grand opening
Richville’s Wild Stallion Lounge will celebrate its grand opening this Saturday, June 14. The lounge, located in the back room of the Rockin’ Horse Café, casually opened in May.
On Saturday, the lounge will open at 11 a.m., with door prizes being awarded throughout the day. Prizes will include Wild Stallion T-shirts, gift certificates and lanterns. Entrants must be present to win a Char-Broil gas grill grand prize,
A meat raffle will be held at 7 p.m., with 60 Cycle Hum to perform after.
Saturday will also be the debut of the Wild Stallion’s exclusive house beer, which is brewed locally.
Lounge and café owner, Sandra Fithen, said the decision to add the lounge portion came after customers said they would like to have a place to have a few drinks.
After Lisa Dulski showed interest in the lounge, Fithen said the idea began to come together.
“I needed to find someone I could trust to be our bar manager,” Fithen said. “Knowing that she (Dulski) would do a good job for us, we got together and plans began.”
“We have gotten a lot of positive feedback from those who have stopped in,” Fithen said. “They really like our food and the atmosphere is great, they say.”
Food from the café’s menu is available in the lounge until the café closes, and then the lounge has its own menu until 10 p.m. Specials on food and drinks run Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Patrons can play Texas hold’em on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Bingo is on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. A meat raffle is held on Saturdays at 7 p.m.
The Wild Stallion opens at 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 11 a.m. on Saturdays and during bingo on Sundays. The lounge is closed Mondays.
