Wildfire triggers evacuation in southwest Hubbard County

Due to a large fire burning southwest of Park Rapids, residents are being evacuated within a five-mile radius from 110th Street to Highway 71 one mile north of the Hubbard Line Road. Highway 71 south of Park Rapids is closed to southbound traffic at the four-mile corner, Highway 87. Winds at the airport are reported to be at 26 mph.

Firefighters from area departments are providing mutual aid.
