Winter storms usher in Thanksgiving
Perham Minnesota 222 2nd Avenue SE 56573

It will be a cold and white Turkey Day.

The first of two winter storms to coat the area with a solid layer of snow hit on Monday morning, delivering several inches of snow.

The second storm is set to arrive on Wednesday, adding more snow to the mix.

With Thanksgiving one of the biggest travel days of the year, Monday and Wednesday's storms will likely cause many headaches for those trying to get home for the holiday.

With the winter weather comes dangerous road conditions, and authorities are advising not to drive unless necessary, and to give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination.
