'Author Extravaganza' features four area writers March 6 at Perham library

Four talented local authors will be featured in the upcoming "Local Author Extravaganza" at the Perham Area Public Library on Saturday, March 6.

Merrie Sue Holtan, Linda McClellan, Zoe Potts and Carloyn Teragawa will be at the library to speak on their writings, greet the public and sign copies of their available books beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing through the morning.

Merrie Sue Holtan of Perham is the author of "Power and Stride: The Nancy Burgraff Story". Her book, telling the story of a woman from Roseau, MN who worked with high school and college hockey players as a skating coach, has been nominated for a Minnesota book award.

Linda McClellan, also of Perham, has written a book titled, "The Life and Times of Beau McClellan." This book about the life and adventures of her dog is a humorous read that everyone, child and adult can enjoy.

Zoe Potts of Perham, a high school junior who is home-schooled by her mother, will also be present. Zoe's writings are primarily fantasy fiction.

Carolyn Teragawa of rural Dent, has written a book titled, "The Silent Generation: A Love Story." This book is a memoir published last August.

The Extravaganza will begin at 10 am with a reception and book signings. The authors will speak on their writings or read from their work 10:45-12:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

This program is provided as a part of the library's "Hot Reads for Cold Nights" winter reading program and sponsored by the Friends of the Perham Area Public Library.
