Regional art show opens at NY Mills cultural center

More than 100 individual works by 50 artists from Minnesota and North Dakota will be on display at the main gallery of the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center through Saturday, June 18.

A reception for the participating artists will be held on Saturday, May 14 from 3-5 p.m. Awards in four categories will be announced during the reception. A People's Choice Award will be named after the show ends in June.

The exhibit includes oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings in addition to ceramics, stained and fused glasswork, pencil drawings, photographs, mixed media and sculptures.

The annual regional art exhibit is open to all artists working in any medium and it is a non-juried show. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no admission charge for this gallery exhibit.
