State Historical Society curator to speak at ITOW

Brian Horrigan will present "Pictures from an Exhibition...Lessons from a Generation," on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. at the ITOW Veterans Museum in Perham.

Horrigan is the lead exhibit developer for the Minnesota Historical Society and the curator for "Our Lives, Our Stories: America's Greatest Generation." He joined MHS in 1990 to develop and implement exhibits and interpretive trail projects at the Minnesota History Center and state historical sites.

As exhibit curator, Horrigan is responsible for developing thematic concepts, conducting oral history interviews, securing loans for the exhibit and overseeing the exhibit's completion. He has also been a contributing writer for "Minnesota History" magazine.

This is the second of several programs that are being held during the run of "Our Lives, Our Stories," a traveling exhibit at ITOW now through Oct. 20.
