‘Tis the season for Christmas carols.

Fans of holiday music will have the chance to get their fill with a free Christmas concert by Heart O’ Lakes Harmony.

Featuring male singers from throughout west central Minnesota, this popular men’s chorus will perform two groups of carols at the Perham High School auditorium on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m.

Secular songs will start off the show, such as “Jingle Bells,” “White Christmas,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” Following that, the group will sing a set of religious songs, including “Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “A Tiny Little Baby” and “Silent Night.”

Heart O’ Lakes Harmony performed in Perham earlier this year, as part of Turtle Fest, and received a standing ovation from the crowd.   The chorus consists of about 50 voices, and several quartets will also give break-out performances.

There is no charge for admission, thanks to sponsorship by the Perham Events Committee. A freewill offering will be taken to defray the booking fee for the concert, and if enough donations are received, the extra will be donated to the Perham Area Food Shelf.  The chorus will also donate its booking fee to area food shelves.

Tickets are available at the door the afternoon of the show, or in advance from Perham businesses participating in this year’s Christmas promotion, “Home Spun Christmas.”
