The Perham Area Boys and Girls Club wrapped up its summer program with a "Rock the Lot" celebration Thursday evening. The club invited all children and families in the community to come out for the event. A dinner was served, and then the festivities really took off. Inflatables, the Perham Fire Department, Perham Police and a Perham ambulance offered fun for kids. In all, more than 300 people attended the celebration, which was highlighted by club members performing a "Happy Dance" to the popular song, "Happy" by Pharrell. The director of the Perham Area Boys and Girls Club, Cori Brown, said, "It was a great way to really send the kids off and have a fun night to mark the end of the summer program here. We had such a fun but busy summer, and we all wanted one big event to end our summer here."
