Lindquist to perform Sept. 16 at Trinity Lutheran in NYM
Gordy “Crazy Fingers” Lindquist will perform at 7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 16 in New York Mills.
The concert, serious in piano musical technique and humorous with jokes and subtleties that bring out roaring laughter, will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church - 424 E Gilman St., New York Mills.
“Crazy Fingers” is known for his antics in concerts. His shows tend to be like the famous Victor Borge yet are more informal, with songs of all eras accompanied by Swedish and Norwegian humor. He admits to being a “half-breed,” Norwegian and Swedish! A retired piano professor at NDSU, Bottineau, Lindquist holds a high standard to his piano playing along with the accompanying banter of jokes and routines. He has entertained all over the world and is well known at Høstfest, the largest Scandinavian festival in the U.S. held annually in Minot, N.D.
Trinity is hosting this event for The Perry Center of West Fargo, ND. The purpose of The Perry Center is to minister the love of Jesus Christ to single women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy by providing for her physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through a residential setting.
There is no charge for the concert, but as you are able, please donate a package of diapers any size, NB to 5. There will also be an appeal at the show for the future support of The Perry Center and the women they serve throughout the United States.
