Letter: Vote yes to support education

We have been very fortunate to have been able to live in the Perham area for most of our lives. During this time we have watched a successful community become more successful because of incredible leadership. This leadership has been willing to take risks, dream big and always in the end, get the job done. The rewards of this success are shared by all who live here.

The success of this or any community requires not only leadership, but also well maintained infrastructure, quality medical facilities, diversified business and first rate school systems. Without these elements it is very difficult to sustain continued growth and to recruit new leaders and professionals.

We have lived a quality life here, raised a family and now watch our four grandchildren grow up. Because of the opportunities in this area, we have all three children and all four of our grandchildren in our daily life.

We believe in the importance of our school system and its impact on our community and we will be voting yes to support our school system. We will be voting yes to support education for the children in this community. We will be voting yes because we believe it is the right thing to do. We understand the difficult decision facing many on fixed incomes or for families where both parents work hard at jobs just to make ends meet. We ask each of you to evaluate the need and to get accurate information before you make your final decision. We thank you for taking time to read this editorial and ask you to please exercise your right to vote on Nov. 2nd. It is important.
