COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS
HORSE & CATTLE BARNS
INSULATED SHOPS & GARAGES
Completely erected by Foltz crews with over 30 years
of experience and backed by our Worry Free Warranty!
Foltz Buildings have been engineered to meet and exceed maximum snow and wind requirments of the upper midwest.
Trusses 8' on center purlins are installed in between trusses so they are flush with the top chord. Insulated buildings receive trusses 4' on center.
2" X 6" Wall Girts provide a wider nailing surface and more wind resistance for a rigid, long-lasting wall system.
2" X 8" Treated Bottom Nailer is treated for maximum protection of steel from contact with the ground or cement floor or apron. Made of Southern Yellow Pine and pressure treated for protection against decay. The industry standard is Ponderosa Pine but we use Southern Yellow Pine because it is subjected to a higher quality treatment process.
Glu-laminated finger jointed columns are significantly stronger than field spliced nailed columns. Each column is continuous from the base (set in concrete) to the top chord of the truss.
Concrete Footings are a standard feature with Foltz Buildings. Steel pins are installed in columns that are anchored in 120 lbs. of concrete per hole.
2" X 6" Diagonal Corner Bracings are fastened to columns and wall girts in each corner to further strengthen the entire structure.
Engineered, factory built trusses are designed to meet and exceed maximum snow and wind requirements of the upper midwest.
Diagonal Roof Bracing is used for increased strength and rigidity, providing additional wind resistance to the superstructure. Diagonal Roof Bracing is used for buildings over 40 feet in width.
Continuous Lateral Bracing has been engineered to provide critical truss to truss support in heavy snow or wind conditions. Continuous Lateral Bracing is used for buildings over 40 feet in width.
Bottom chord ties run the entire length of the building. Adds a higher level of rigidity to the truss system.
