1 dead after shooting in northwest Minnesota

HALSTAD, Minn. — A 22-year-old man is dead after a shooting Monday night, June 26, in Halstad, according to the Norman County Sheriff's Office.

A 20-year-old woman was arrested for reckless discharge of a gun.

The man was shot about 6 p.m. and airlifted to a Fargo hospital.

Members of the sheriff's office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating.

Halstad, a town of about 600 people near the Red River, is 35 miles northeast of Fargo.
