Help keep area youngsters warm

The Keep Kids Cozy Campaign Committee is launching its second annual drive to help keep area kids warm throughout the winter months.

"Keep Kids Cozy" is a community effort to collect new hats and mittens for children in Perham.

Last year's campaign ended very successfully, collecting over 90 hats and mittens, along with $300 in monetary contributions that was available for those in grades K-6 in need of winter apparel.

The committee still feels there is a need to continue this campaign to keep children warm and cozy this winter.

There are five drop-off sites around Perham. Donations will be collected at the following locations until the end of January: Nadine's, Pamida, ACS Retail Center, Perham Chamber Office, and Heart of the Lakes Elementary School.

Monetary donations are also needed for this campaign. These funds will be used to purchase winter apparel for those students who are in need of snow pants or boots for the season.

Please make checks payable to "Perham School District 549." Checks may be sent to: Keep Kids Cozy Campaign Committee, 150 2nd St. SW, Perham 56573.
