A Funeral Mass was held for Vivian (Mrs. Norbert Rohr) on Monday, March 2, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton, MN with Fr. Donald Wagner officiating. The hymns were sung by the congregation and accompanied by Linda Imdieke. Pallbearers were Tim Stoll, Ed Stoll, Tony Stoll, Jim Stoll, Marc Palmer, and Dean Endres. Honorary pallbearers were all of Vivian's grandchildren. She was laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Bluffton.

Vivian Marie Rohr was born February 20, 1925, in Frazee, MN, the first child of Fred and Francis (Ulschmid) Palmer. She grew up on the family dairy farm and graduated from Frazee High School with the class of 1942.

Vivian married Norbert Rohr of Detroit Lakes, MN on October 16, 1945. In 1956, Norbert and Vivian moved their family from Frazee to a dairy farm they purchased near Bluffton. Vivian played an active part in the farm and for several years had a weekly route in Wadena delivering fresh eggs her hens produced; becoming known to some as "the egg lady." She was in charge of publicity for the Ottertail County National Farmers Organization (NFO) and, along with Norbert, was active in the organization at the county and state level throughout their farming and retirement years.

Vivian attended St. John the Baptist Church and served as an officer in the Christian Mothers for many years. She helped start and organize the Bluffton Blazers 4-H Club and served as a parent leader. Vivian volunteered in Bluffton Township on election nights and campaigned for candidates in the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, reading, gardening, sewing, animals, traveling, and church events.

On February 5, 2009, Norbert passed away due to heart failure in Fargo, ND. Vivian passed away after a brief illness at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, MN on February 26, 2009.

Family members preceding Vivian in death were her husband; parents; brother, Kermit Palmer; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; grandson, Adam Rohr; and other relatives and friends.

Her sunny positive outlook, kind deeds and words, warmth and caring, will be especially missed by her eight children: John (Toni) of Indianapolis, IN; Dan (Kim) Rohr of Northfield, MN; Nick (Lorna) Rohr of New York Mills, MN; Nancy (Tom) Hendrickx of Butler; Mark (Carol) Rohr of Bluffton; Mary (Steve) Brand of Ellsworth, WI; Janelle Rohr of West St. Paul, MN; and Kathy Rohr of Bluffton.
