Minn. Waters lake data assessment workshop in D.L. June 26

Do you have lake water quality data that you don't know what to do with? Becker, Hubbard and Otter Tail County Coalition of Lake Associations (COLA's) have partnered with Minnesota Waters to bring a free "Lake Data Assessment, Interpretation, and Action Workshop" to this area.

The workshop will take place Saturday, June 26 from 1:30 to 5 p.m., with registration starting at 1 p.m.

The workshop will be held at Minnesota State Community & Technical College, 900 Highway 34 East, Detroit Lakes. Although the workshop is offered at no charge, pre-registration is required to ensure adequate handouts for everyone.

Examples of lake data and how to assess and interpret that data will be shared, along with factors to consider when planning for action. Attendees will break into smaller discussion groups based upon their goals and issues. These small group discussions will help attendees define activities that achieve outcomes and obstacles to overcome.

Pre-register before June 15 by contacting Shawn Olson by email at, or by mail to Otter Tail County COLA, C/O Olson, 34132 Camp Cherith Road, Frazee, MN 56544.
